Updating welder's firmware

Updating welder's firmware

USB yellow
In order to update the welder's software, a USB drive containing the update files must be used. To prepare such files and format the USB drive to a file system supported by the welder (FAT, FAT16, or FAT32), you can use the Update Manager software (this free software is available from Labtronik support). Connect the welder to a stable power source and unscrew the cap protecting the USB port.
1.
Bootloader step 1
Now, turn the welder on while simultaneously holding the STOP button. After a moment, the screen for selecting the type of welder being updated will appear. Press "1" for ECO welders and "2" for PRO welders. Attention! Make sure the correct type of welder has been selected. If an error occurs, the welder will not function, and a software update will need to be performed again.
2.
Bootloader step 2
The welder will start searching the USB drive for available language packs and software updates. Once the search is complete, all found updates will be displayed on the screen, with each language pack identified by a two-letter code, e.g., ES for Spanish, FR for French, and EN for English. Now, enter the two digits next to the language symbol to select that file for the software update (e.g. for Spanish press '02') and press START.
3.
Bootloader step 3
During the software update, the current progress is displayed on the screen. The update takes approximately 2 minutes and cannot be interrupted. Please wait until it completes automatically.
4.
Bootloader step 4
The completion of the update is communicated on the screen. Now, the welder must be turned off and then turned on again.
