Manual PE pipe clamps are primarily used for emergency gas flow shut-off in PE pipelines with diameters up to 63mm.
The clamps have a rotary spacer disc that prevents excessive pipe compression damage. This disc should be set to the given pipe diameter by rotating it so that its lower edge marked with the diameter value contacts the pipe. The disc limits pipe compression to 80% of the double wall thickness, which means that the screw can be turned until the pipe walls touch each other but no further (the disc contacting the lower clamp support prevents further screw rotation).
